Blessing of the Animals 2016

The Blessing of the Animals proved to be another crowd pleaser and we were happy to see the many locals who visited St Francis on the day. Despite a windy, yet sunny, morning the priests were busy blessing  puppies, cats, birds and fish. The baby animals at the petting zoo charmed the kids and adults alike.

A sincere thank you to the dedicated people who provided food and wares for visitors.  St Francis Parents and Friends delivered on tasty Breakfast and treats while raising money for the School renovations.  The Trading Circle and Ethica Accessories sold beautiful products made by fair-trade companies in countries that are in need.

A big thank you to all the people who contributed towards the Petting Zoo.  We raised $200 for the Living Ruff program, an RSPCA initiative which supports homeless people with pets.

Thank you to Paddo Pets for providing prizes for a free raffle.

Enjoy photos taken on the day. Please call the office with any photo enquiries.

A Wonderful Community Event

Blessing of the Animals 2014

Face Painting

God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, of every kind, with which the waters swarm, and every winged bird of every kind. God made the wild animals of the earth of every kind, and the cattle of every kind, and everything that creeps upon the ground of every kind.

And God saw that it was good....Very Good.

St Francis' Blessing of the Animals event on Sat 11th October 2014, complete with warm and sunny weather, was a wonderful community event. Thank you to all the families who attended and those who helped on the day.

Congratulation to Father Philip Miscamble

The Rome Festa luncheon

-held 31st August 2014

Thankyou to all those who attended the celebration held in honour of Father Philip Miscamble, who has given 30 years of service as a Franciscan Friar.  The Roma Festa's 'tutti a tavola" theme, was creatively coined by Father Paul in consideration of Father Philip's home town of Roma, in Queensland.

Families enjoyed a festive afternoon, with food, wine and delicious desserts. Some fundraising was part of the day, with proceeds raised towards the renovations of the St Francis of Assisi church building.

Please enjoy some of the photo's taken on the day.
