A Wonderful Community Event

Blessing of the Animals 2014

Face Painting

God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, of every kind, with which the waters swarm, and every winged bird of every kind. God made the wild animals of the earth of every kind, and the cattle of every kind, and everything that creeps upon the ground of every kind.

And God saw that it was good....Very Good.

St Francis' Blessing of the Animals event on Sat 11th October 2014, complete with warm and sunny weather, was a wonderful community event. Thank you to all the families who attended and those who helped on the day.

A variety of activities including a Face painting, Petting Zoo and Balloons for the children (and a couple of adults) entertained families as they patiently awaited their turn with Father Paul, Father Joseph and Father Phil, who lovingly bestowed blessings to Dogs, Cats, Hamsters, Rabbits and, if I am not mistaken, a couple of crabs in their shells!

We raised $230 for the RSPCA 'Living Ruff' Program. A wonderful service that assists homeless people in caring for their pets.

Thank you to...

Paddo Pets for being there on the day and allowing a lucky patron to win Paddo Pets Full Dog Groom Voucher. The winner was quite thrilled.St Francis School P&F Committee and the Come in Centre for providing Food, coffee and cakes on the day.Ana Araujo and Ethica Accessories and their fabulous Candles and fairt trade items.
